Description: A beginner trail on flat, easy forest roads, about 6 miles. There are several branching trails that were closed (I rode Dec. 27, 2003) . This is suppose to be a scenic trail but since the hurricane there are hundreds of trees down. To get a work out on this trail I rode it twice and tried to keep a 12-15 mph speed. I would only ride again to see the historical sites that were closed due to down trees.

This trail is as advertised. Gravel road. I ride it coupled with the Yorktown Battlefields for my workouts. It gives me a chance to ride and not have to worry about getting clobbered by a car.

First off this is not a mountain biking trail at all. It is a 5 mile shared bike, running path. But if you take it for what it is it's very nice. It's mostly flat and in the woods nearly the whole time. A good trail for the family.

I went on this trail today with my daughter and it's TOTALLY different than the last time I went on it. They changed it completely after hurricane Isabelle. Before, it was partly gravel road & the rest was a nice single track through the woods. Now, it's 100% gravel road. It's almost completely flat, there are a few places where you can pick up some speed, but otherwise, it's a cinch even for beginners. Unless you want to get a nice cardio workout, don't go to this park. Check out the pics I uploaded here or at our website: www.fantabular.net/trails.htm

Flat, fire road good for exercise. Nothing special for mountain biking.

I rode this trail a lot a few years ago, then when I went back recently, I noticed that it's very different now. It seems to be 99.9 percent gravel "access road" for some kind of park automobile; it isn't a very good mountain bike trail at all. There's only one spot that isn't gravel road and that only lasts about 10 feet, all the rest is flat, gravel & boring. Don't get me wrong, it's a great ride for beginners if you want to get your heart rate up. It's also not as scenic as it was a few years ago, I think some hurricanes came through town & knocked down all the big trees. I continually noticed that someone had been along the trail w/ a chainsaw & left logs everywhere.

Nice family bike ride. Not the best mountain bike trail. More just a relaxing ride in the country.

not very impressive at all. this trail is more for families whilst camping, good scenery but definatly not "made for mountain bikes"
