Review: Wow!! Rode this gem for the first time this weekend after hearing about it for a long time. It certainly lives up to its rep! My new #1 trail. I live 4 hrs away but certainly worht the drive. Super flow, lots of fun berms and bridges. Something fun around every corner. The jumps are awesome but they all have 'go-arounds' for the wife n kids. 9 miles and more than 40 bridges. Very well marked. good signage and miles markers let you know how far till the end. And the nicest folks youll ever meet. They said we could camp anytime we wanted and even had popsicle in the freezer at the trailhead pavilion for anybody that rides. Very well maintained, some locals were even working as we were riding. I suggest 1st easy lap to get to know trail, then another lap or 3 to really play. We stayed the whole weekend and will be back...

Similar Trail: Hmmmmm.... none that I've ridden

Review: Did the 6 mile trail for my 1st outing. Very nice woodland setting with an abundance of shade. Trail does not involve a bunch of switchbacks in a small parcel of land, this single track is spread out over many acres. Contains some good short climbs on packed ground and some on loser material. Trails are VERY Well marked from what I saw. The creek jump (well marked with danger! signs) on the 6 mile trail is not for novices and it does have a go around. That jump is longer than it looks as some may have pointed out. Trail has many bridges and looks well maintained. Volunteers were cutting boards for wood feature repairs when I arrived. There is also a nice shed to sit down under when you are finished with your ride. I will be riding Mt Zion again!

Review: This is for sure the best trail in the state! The atmosphere is second to none. Laid back and easy going. The trail is great. Hill climbs, jumps, all well maintained. Can't believe the negative review that was posted earlier. All other reviews show 5 well deserved stars. I'm thinking it must have come from someone from another trail. You may notice that they used the words "every time" I ride the trail... They must like something... They keep coming back!

Review: This trail is great. I usually ride the Comite trail in Baton Rouge, LA. This trail is definitely a step up from what I'm used to and more technical. The trail basically has you climbing then descending over and over again. The technical features and fast downhill sections of this trail are what will bring me back. That guy who reviewed the trail on April 25, 2015 is a total mom and needs to go ride road bikes. The "dangerous" jumps are what made me love this trail so much. Plus, none of the jumps are more than 5 feet long which is actually not that big. You just carry some good speed through most of them. Also, I did not find that any of the berms were "too slick" or unnecessary. I thought this trail was a blast and will definitely be going back.

Review: Very fun! I'm a beginner and I didn't have any problems on the 9 mile loop other than having to walk up a few of the hills. Being a beginner, I skipped the Black Diamond sections just to be safe. There are many jumps, but they all have bypasses. For south Mississippi, the climbs can be a bit long, but they are rewarded with some really fun, fast downhill sections. There are roots, but nothing too bad, even on a hardtail. The bridges and wooden berms make the track loads of fun! Overall, well worth the 2 hour drive. I'll definitely be riding this trail again!

Similar Trail: As far as technical difficulty, about the same as Comite in Baton Rouge, although Comite's climbs are short and steep whereas Zion's are long and not as steep.

Review: Not the worst in state, but most definitely not the best. The crew there have made the best with what they have. That being said, every time I ride these trails I do not have a whole lot of fun and just want to get the ride overwith. Way too many roots, not enough smooth fun fast sections. Stupid dangerous jumps everywhere...though there are bypasses. There are some cool wooden berms and wooden trail sections. One exception is a huge slick berm that shouldn't be there...better to bypass this one. You'll know it when you see it.

Review: Superb trail, exceptionally well-kept; within reasonable distance from Northshore, NOLA, etc.
I cannot say i have ever been to a trail with a clubhouse before... let alone one stocked with popsicles for the kids. I did the 6mi with my daughter in tow on a tag-a-long and my wife trailing behind on her bike. All of the challenging sections had warnings and turn-offs.

Review: Just finished an awesome afternoon on a well maintained nicely marked trail. We did the 9 mile "rc" loop, nice climbs, fun decents, some jumps, bridges, berms. I will definitely be back in the future, well worth the drive in from mandeville!
