The main loop is 9 miles of flowy fun! The climbs are always rewarded with some fun descents. LOTS of trail candy. Wooden berms, walls and tabletops. Lots of Dirt berms, 14ft see-saw, at least 30 wooden bridges. The jumps have by-passes. There's is also shorter alternate 6-mile loop, a 2-mile beginner loop and a 1-mile kids loop. Trails are well marked and SS friendly. Open pavilion at trailhead has a fridge with a popsicle waiting for you after your ride! Restroom of the portable variety and a bike wash. Review: LIke others have mentioned, def. a diamond in the rough. Trails are extremely well marked! I enjoyed seeing signs of what's ahead before I got to a jump for example. Very well maintained trail and exciting trail to say the least. There were popsicles in the fridge for after the ride as well as picnic tables and a portapotty. Awesome! Be wary of spiders this time of year, there were a ton of webs. I didn't ride the Expert section, although I wish I took a peep of it while I was there.

Review: I'd call Mt. Zion a diamond in the rough. This trail is great. The crew who build/maintain are genuine and always hospitable. The trail design and flow is spot-on using the lay of the land to its maximum potential. Can't wait to return.

Review: This place is awesome!!!! Trails are in GREAT conditions. My son and I arrived around 6:30 am. We did the begginers trail to warm up and then proceded to do 6 miles of the intermediate trail. It was very cool. Challenging at times with a few nice climbs but always followed by exciting down the hills!! My hat is off to the guys that keep the trail up. They do a Great!!! Job. There is a box to deposite contributions to keep trail up and maintenance....make sure to put in some if you can. We will definetely be back!!!!

Review: The new Black Diamond sect is open!!! Several bridges have been rebuilt and new trails added to complete the section. There is new signage on all the trails. After a week of heavy rain the MZ crew have worked hard to get this trail in fantastic shape. Come by and have a great ride.

Review: This is a very good trail to ride. Has a good amount of planks and wooden structures to ride. Trail has good flow. Has some good uphill sections within the first 5 miles or so to get you conditioned. Overall a great trail and one of my favorites so far.

Review: Super fast trail with more berms and jumps than a bmx track. But if you don't like catching air, there are beginner friendly bypasses on all the jumps to. Trail is well maintained and in the process of being remarked for the 9 mile loop. Word is Black Diamond will be open in the next two weeks. No doubt one of the best trails in the South.

Review: The guys that work and create the trails at Mount Zion are just awesome! The main trail is now over 9 miles of Greatness. The new 357 section is a fun and challenging addition. Which adds about 3 miles of hills, berms, and a few jumps (if you dare), to one of the best trails in the South. The trail is mostly fast singletrack with some tight technical sections along the way. There is a expert level black diamond section that Mt. Zion crew is going to revamp in the near future...can't wait to see that new section. Read more about the events happening at Mount Zion Bike Trail by going to MZ Racing on Facebook. The drive will be worth it...come and enjoy the hospitality of the local riders and a Fantastic Trail.

Review: Update to my last post, the MORCS race "MZ Dust n Bones" has been changed, as photoepic stated, to April 26th. This was due to a conflict with Brookhaven's road race's on May 4th. Come by both weekends for great biking activities!

Review: Trail is now 9 miles. (as of feb 2014) the new sections have a bit more climbing but always rewarded with some fun stuff. We've had a horribly wet winter especially slowing the 'breaking in' of the new section, but by springtime she should be tip-top. MORCS series race is here on April 26.. Come join the fun.

Review: Easy fast and fun. Great visuals, easy parking, place to hang out, cool man man stuff and the trail is marked really well. I arrived alone and it felt really safe. The car ride to the trail is kinda sketch but it is totally worth checking out.

Review: Great bike trail to ride, ranges from an easy beginner trail to two more advanced trails. There was an expert rider coase there also, but after riding the other 3 loops we called it a day. It was a very fun, enjoyable ride with a lot of scenery, bridges, jumps, steep drops, hills & turns. I road today with a family of four, my wife & I are in our 40's, we had our two sons along with us, 23 & 13 years old. We all had a great time.

Review: MZ 'A' loop is a total of 6.5 miles now. New EWOK section recently opened with a short steep downhill that launches you over the next 400yards of flowing curvy singletrack that has 8 nice bridges on that section alone. Several dirt berms have been added thru-out in some really good spots. Trail is well maintained and marked well.

Review: Great trails for MS. Several cool features that I have not seen at other MS trails. Black diamond trail is a little hard to find and needs some maintenance but fun. They were getting the trail ready for the spring when we were there. Must do trail for MS riders

Review: Rode this trail twice over the past week or so. Great ride and well maintained. Nice change of pace from the Comite trails at BREC. Man made obstacles are fun and well built. Trails are very well marked and easy to follow; black diamond section is found by taking the trail to the left of the American flag at Marker #3 on the A Loop.

Review: I hit this awesome trail up this weekend. Rode the white arrow route (A loop) and the Perimeter loop and loved 'em both. Would have given it a 5 rating but could not find the black diamond route. Huge thanks to the crew who put this trail together. As a beginner, the tech sections were great practice. One of the jumps was awesome, but caught me slightly off guard. Bridges and ramps were built great. I hope they extend the trail. Thanks again

Review: Pretty tight singletrack through dense forest. There are several fun ramps, drops and lots of wooden bridges and stuff to keep it interesting. There are some short but fast downhills at points. I would say the hills are smaller than Clear Springs , but still some short steep stuff to pump you out. One loop is about 5.8-6.0 miles. The loop is short enough that you can hammer down and time your fastest loop. Nice trail head and signage... you cant get lost. Looks like they are building a nice shed too. I never found the Black Diamond section, but just did the main loop several times to get out some mileage. Fun trail to do if you are in the area...

Review: This trail was very demanding. Me and a friend rode it today. Weather was great, trials are well marked and maintained. But we didn't find the diamond trail. Rode the bone yard, brier patch, badlands and a few others. Jumps was a lot of fun. The only thing I could suggest is have a trail map. But this is a must go ride trail loads of fun and challenges

Review: My buddy and I rode this trail today for the first time and we both were very impressed! We drove about two and half hours from Gulfport and we got our worth out of the trail. We managed to negotiate every obstacle including the wooden skinny that was quite high off the ground. The local crew did an outstanding job bringing a little bit of BC flare to Mississippi!!! I will be back real soon just as soon as it dries up a little. Thanks to everyone for delivering and giving everyone the best little trail in Mississippi.

Review: This is a great trail. Very well maintained and cared for. Many chances for jumps, but sometimes they sneak up on you because there is a creek on the other end. One section is very technical and narrow, and other sections are wide and very fast (20 mph). White trail is pretty challenging and the yellow kind of easy. New black diamond section will be sweet when complete. The bridge and drop are a blast, and the creek jump is a challenge on a hardtail. Great uphills with rewarding downhills. Will return ( 2 hour 20 min drive)

Review: I rode this trail today with a few locals that I met at the trail head. The trails are very well designed and maintained with exciting wooden structures that aren't overly common in the area. They have multiple bridges, ramps, jumps, and a "teeter-totter". Good mix of downhill and climbing sections. Mt. Zion trails are good place to ride. A lot of bridges and stunts have optional bypasses but the new black diamond section that will be open soon meets the criteria for the rating.
