Description
This is my favorite trail in Augusta! There is fast ridge riding and lots of twisting singletrack and switchbacks. Area boy scouts have helped maintain this trail. This trail is also fun in the fall/winter when the leaves are changing colors and they cover the trail.

Review: Nice benchcut singletrack w/some slightly technical sections, a couple creek crossing causing dismount, many small wooden bridges w/some needing maintenance. Mileage was well marked on the trail. Great ride except for the 2.75 mile mark where I followed my back tire down a 40 degree slope for 30 feet while my new ride stopped at about 60 feet. All parts intact, we decided to finish the ride and it was well worth it.
Review: I traveled from Maryland to ride trails in this area. I rode over 80% of the trail. It is an out and back. I had to dismount at stream crossings. Much more technical than FATS down the road. Less crowded. Trail maintainance tapers off the more you ride north. Nice sounds of waterfalls.
Review: Seems like everytime I ride this trail I break something (bike and me), great trail non the less. This trail has great views and is never crowded.

Review: Trail is a fun 5.5 miles out (than back) Lots of water crossings (some tricky) and many small bridges. Ridge ride with views of Stephens Creek is always nice. there are ways to connect Modoc, turkey and Wine Creek to make a longer ride.

Review: Beautiful bench cut singletrack with some great views! Classic Sumter National Forest trail. Great flow, great ride. Lots of bridges and stream crossings.

Review: Great out and back ride. Not real tech but has some sketchy water crossings and a few steep cliffs. Great up and down hill. Not to steep, just right for fast up and down. The first ride I ended up hitting a fire break and taking it to a dirt road which lead out to the main road for a high speed return.
Review: Enjoyed this ride yesterday. Not a lot of steep climbs, pretty fast with a few good obstacles. Rode out and back and was a good workout of 12 miles. Track must not have been used that day as there were many spider webs which slowed me down on the way out, but was fast on the way back.

Review: NOT FOR Beginners. Especially in winter when the leaves make it hard to get any traction. This trail was hard for a beginner but I made it to the end however we took the dirt roads back to 28 to get back, I was too oout of shape to tackle the trail all the way back. Fun time though, I will do it again.
Review: A true roadies trail. Not very technical, (except the 3-4 creek crossings) straight and only moderately hilly. The roots can be slick if it's been wet. Otherwise, it's a fast trail with rolling terrain.
Review: This trail that is supposedly in Modoc, Georgia, doesnt exist. This trail is actually in Modoc, South Carolina. Just wanted to inform you all that this trail is located in a different area.
Review: Check out the new trail that breaks off the main trail about 2 miles in. The new section starts at the bridge on the left at about the two mile mark. The trail goes up a really steep hill then joins a fireroad / doubletrack that goes approximately 1 mile to a gate. There is a dirt road there but I have no idea where this is.
