Description: Trail has three loops (north loop, south loop, gnu loop). All the trails have a combination of hill climbs, short and quick down hills and jumps. trails are packed dirt and loose sand and tons of tree roots to keep you on your toes. All three loops have different challenges like an up and over , log ride, teeder todder, scout bridge and log jumps. All three trails are connected so you can ride them one at a time or all together.

Even though I live nearby, it had been two years since I had rode here. Tight, technical riding isn't my favorite, but I was reminded just how much fun this type of riding can be. The trail designers did a great job making the most of a limited area, and this is a great trail to work on you bike handling skills.

It was a fun trail trail to ride. I had no map and it was a little tough to follow because I had never been there before. My only complaints about the trails are they were pretty flat with no real climbs or fast downhills. The main reason I traveled there was for the skills park and when I finally found it the teeters were not there :( My favorite loop was the south loop and especially at the end it started to get real fun.

This trail is very well ridden. There are tons of exposed roots that make your lower back ache after a few miles. That's where my complaints end. I think there is something for every level of rider to enjoy here. The South loop, north of the creek, is fairly technical with short climbs and tight turns. I recommend the South loop and Gnu to more experienced riders as the other trails may be a bit boring. The trails loop around swamps and creeks so get ready to be very muddy if it has rained recently.

Good trails with decent flow. Been riding these for most of summer's second half. Frog Holler is short, and good for those just starting out like I was. It has a few somewhat tight sections, a few rooty sections, only a number of very short climbs, and very little by way of obstacles. The North loop is a fun fast loop with a gradual increase in log piles, rocky sections, and bridges. The South loop difficulty continues to increase and so do the obstacles. The Gnu loop is the most difficult in the system and gets tighter and rougher. All loops feature short climbs that continue to make it interesting. As stated before, more man made obstacles on Gnu than the others. But these trails are very fun to ride, and close to home for me. All of the trails connect, so you can start at the parking lot on the North end and basically ride all four trails arriving right back at your vehicle without having to back track. Good system to help hone skills and build confidence. * Review edited 10/4/2010* Review edited 10/4/2010

Very fun trail. Lots of twisties but not crazy tight so still fun. It is quite alot of fun. I wish we lived closer to it so we could go back frequently.

Midland City Forest now consists of 4 loops ranging from the easiest (but not really for true beginners) Frog Holler to the most difficult South and Gnu loops. South loop has lots of natural obstacles while Gnu loop has the majority of man made obstacles. All 13 miles have plenty of challenges for all abilities.
