Description: The Fells offers a ton of variety in its biking, but to really capture it, you need to do the 8-mile mountain bike loop that goes all the way around the reservation. This has lots of gravely fire road, rocky and rooted singletrack, some tough climbs, a few small wooden bridges... all kinds of stuff. All in all, a really good ride. Next time you go back after you've done the loop, try out some of the random single track trails you can find!

Had a good time even with the heat, wish they had a spot with trail maps tho. Couldn't find anything to tech but the switchbacks were a fun time. Try to break away from the mtb for more tech stuff

Fun trail, even though i made it only half way around. some tough climbs (i'm a newbie) in my opinion. Lot of rooted trails with loose stones 4-6" on many of the downhills, and it was big enough that you weren't crossing paths with other bikers/hikers too often. Frequent trail crossings though, so a map would be helpful if your you're not familiar.

Great system. Got lost for a bit without trail map. But had a great mix of single track, up hill and some nice technical stuff.

Similar Trail: Vietnam was great. A bit more difficult at times.

When I move to Bostons I was so pumped to find these trails. It was the #1 thing that got me back to biking. They are only 10 miles from downtown and supper easy to access on bike car or train. The green loop has plenty of mixed terrain and there is tons of single track lining the reservoirs you just have to look for it. Keep off the Blue, White and Orange trails at least until we can get them to be open access for all.

Fun riding! Go to the sheepfold entrance, there is far more parking available there. Also, right out of the parking lots, are a few different entrances to the loop trail. The loop trail is a lot of fire road and double track where you can absolutely fly... good times.

Has a great little 45 minute - 1.5 hour loop, with a lot of variety in the terrain. Fast, pedally sections, technical climbs and decents. Great mix.

Great trails, from beginner to advanced. Good place to check out the full range of your suspension or have a smooth easy ride. Lots of double track.

The NEMBA MTB loop is in great shape for the spring thanks to the hard work of the NEMBA crew. Some of the fire road has had some new drainage put in that makes for some fun jumps, and the singletrack, as always, is well taken care of and varies between fast and flowing to technical. Always a pleasure to ride!

Great ride. Riding is pretty restricted here (limited to fire road and green blazed bike trail), so be careful to not wander off the bike trail - don't want to lose privilages!

Fun ride, some tough stuff, can basically make what you want out of it - easy doubletrack, tougher singletrack. The place is huge, which is a plus, but lots of people everywhere

Great place so close to Boston. It has the variety for all levels and so well marked that you don't need a map! Do be careful on the trails that do not allow biking. There are still a lot of people that would liek to see biking banned from the Fells.

Reservoir Trail Loop (orange tags) is a lot of fun, and the Mountain Bike Loop (green tags) is great, too. Technical in a lot of places, muddy in others, and the flat tire SUCKED. Thanks to Andy and his buddy for helping me out! Drop me a line if you're on here ever.
