Description: Lewis Morris Park is a medium-small sized park with a very high level of maintenance. There is hardly ever a stick in the trail, let alone a log. In the fall the leaves are literally blown from the trails. There are nicely constructed micro gravel paths yet many sections with an overload of roots. Plenty of climbing, steep but short, nothing sustained. The high quality of the trails makes the descending fast and fun, especially the last half of the yellow trail going clockwise.

TheMicrobe said it well - "this trail consists of uphills no matter where you start from". Very true - if you like climbs, this is definitely for you as it has a good mix of climbs and descents. Do yourself a favor if you leave from Sunrise lake, head south and bear left at the first Y. Take Green, which is a fun hillside / creekside narrow winder, and take Yellow back to Sunrise Lake, which is a downhill rolling ride. I made the mistake of doing this backwards and wish I hadn't. Avoid the northern loop - it's totally boring. Straight, rocky, loose climb to a mellow descent - not much interesting there.

Lewis Morris is a small but fun park to ride. It is well maintained, near impossible to get lost and has a good mixture for intermediate riders. You can cover the whole park in about 2 hours.

This trail consists of a lot of uphills no matter where you start from. There are fun and challenging root systems and rock gardens (enjoyable and challenging), downhill switchbacks, and about 5 interspersed long uphills. 2 Wooden bridges, but overall fun!!!

Trail is definately fun and challenging without being daunting. Would love to ride more but just isn't worth the drive from Trenton. Trail isn't excellently labeled, and most of the doubletrack is severely rutted.
