Description: A great smooth, narrow trail for beginners and those that want to enjoy the outdoors but aren't interested in a technical ride. Its my favorite as I'm improving my mountain biking skills. Can be tacky, and even flooded after rains. Has several "dips" which are fun and everyone is capable of maneuvering them, even beginners. Since it is so narrow, you just slow down if needed. Short, under an hour ride. Also, its close to the Campion paved trail if you want more exercise.

TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

Now that the cracks in the ground are only half the size they were in July, LB Houston/Claifornia Crossing single track is looking good. I think the Dallas Offroad Bicycle Assoc. was out there within the past couple of months because there are red and green markers for new areas of the trail open. I found 3 new wooden plank bridges on the red trail, some technical switches between trees, 3 fun and easy dips and lots of places to really just blaze through going fast. There are plenty of roots and placed small branches to hop, too. Have fun!

Very nice and well maintained trail. Trail is easy to follow as lots of care has been taken to mark the main train, bypasses, and emergency exit trail heads. Very scenic course that shares every bit of the trail with the wildlife! There are a few skills areas where the rider can work on, develop, and improve biking and handling skills. The paths are narrow and areas are heavly shaded making riding with sunglasses a challange. You also want to use a camelback instead of a water bottle as there are very few places to get a had free to grab, drink, and put away the bottle. This is a DORBA maintained trail.

This trail is wonderful and is now even better after a recent expansion. It is very narrow in some parts, and it has it's share of exciting down hills. Certainly a trail for all riders. One other note: L.B. Houston park is not located in "Las Colinas, TX." There is no such thing as Las Colinas,TX. Las Colinas is a section of Irving,TX. The park is located within the city limits of Dallas. (The Trinity River is the dividing line of Dallas and Irving. The park is located in the 1600 block of California Crossing Road. The original directions are correct, I just thought it would be helpful to have a physical address.
