I am a beginner rider, and this trail is perfect for me. It is relatively flat, has many switchbacks, and flows well. A more advanced rider may find it too easy, as its not technical at all, with the exception of roots. Its a good place to go to build your endurance and speed. I ride here about 3-4 times a week as I live 5 mins away, but its not worth an hour drive as it is only 2.5 miles. The trail is very well maintained, and currently it is under going an expansion. I cant wait for the new section of trail to open! It will add 4 miles to the trail.

The new sections have been closed off and just the original marked trail remains. Nothing very technical and is good for beginners to work on endurance/getting faster. It is a great local trail to get a quick ride in or switch things up but not worth driving an hour for.

They have added many more trails but they have not marked them officially yet. This can add 4+ additional miles to the 2+ mile loop trail. Look for red ribbon around trees to find some of the trails. There is one that is off the main loop and more add-ons just after you come in from the parking lot. Some are not marked yet but you can see the trail. Most are technical with lots of switchbacks, logs, small deep creek embankments. Not a lot of speed to be had. More intermediate/advanced than beginner in these trails. With all the switchbacks my phone GPS just couldn't keep up with the distance but you can get a good hour ride if you hit all the trails. Overall a lot of fun and this is a nice little trail with not a lot of use.

Great trail not to far from the university. Can't wait till they expand the trail system!
