Description: Drop into gully on right, climb hill, we went as far as could keep our direction. Tracks went here and yawn. Would be fun in the morning before work but we live 5 hours away.

This used to be my morning ride. Awsome short ride with a nice technical climb up a winding canyon with a great single track payoff. If you ride at sunrise the views of the Sierras are spectacular once at the top of the Canyon.

great training trails - these trails are mainly uphill without too steep of climbs - some are steep but nothing too serious great for beginners and intermediates not very technical but will help you become a stronger rider no matter what your abilities

Similar Trail: in galena there is a loop that starts in galena creek park goes to whites creek canyon follow it up and take it to dry pond then over to jones creek follow down to timberline rd back to whites creek canyon back over to galena creek park

This is a good in town ride. There are multiple loops that you can ride from the Keystone Trail head. Once you have ridden the first 1.7 miles or so from the parking lot to the radio towers you can ride anything from beginner to intermediate trails. This trail system is mostly single track with little technical sections. Also being in fairly good shape helps, there aren't many steep climbs but you could spend the first 5 to 6 miles climbing with littl to no down hill during these sections. I would recommend this trail to anyone who wants to learn to mountain bike.
