Description: This trail will force you to take control of your ride! The more you ride it the better you will get at riding over large rocks and loose grit on trails. The trail has four possible routes now, with the longest being 4.5 miles, the next is 3.5 miles, then a short loop that is about 2 miles, and a very small loop of just over a mile. With a lot of exposed roots and loose rocks, it is advised to take your time on your first ride. The climb to Bald Knob is an excellent climb with switchbacks and some boulders, so testing your bike control and legs is moderate. The downhill from Bald knob is a blast and will get your blood pumping when flying over the loose rocks and trying to stay on track! Enjoy, be safe, and remember, leave nothing but your tracks!

This trail very hard to find but i made it eventually. As for the trail, its about 95% loose rocks and roots. But dont let that drive you away. It flows very well and is fast paced. There is only one real climb and it is not bad. It is very short though. I could have ridden it two to three times in one day. All in all this is a very good trail for someone just wanting to go out and ride. I will be shure to return here soon.

The trail was a lot of fun but like a lot of mid-TN trails there is enough limestone to go around. PS be sure that you only ride this trail as it is the only trail open to bikes. I found that out a little to late, luckily the Park Ranger was very friendly and understandable

Good trail - Hard to find. Still missed it even with directions! You are looking to turn left onto Barnett Rd if coming from I840. The trail is a loop with an offset loop to go around Bald Knob. Great view of lake. Bald Knob spits you back onto main trail and you can loop back to trailhead from there. If coming from Smyrna, you can take Sam Ridley to Weakley Rd. Take Weakley until it deadends into Couchville and then left. Barnett is about 1-1.5 on the left. Easier to go this way then go all the way down to I840.
