Description: Tight singletrack through the woods around a 300 acre lake. Beautiful ride. Some small hills. A tight bridge and some log sections that you can go around if you choose. The Memphis area trail team cleaned this place up and added about a mile and a half. Trail is wide and clean with very little poison ivy now thanks to these folks. Not difficult. Go around twice. Because it is an old TN state park, there is great parking, picnic tables, restrooms, and a bait shop to get a drink or ask questions.

I love this trail. You can really get a nice rhythm going - it just flows. HP is in *great* shape now after a cleanup effort following many, many downed trees from an apparent tornado and heavy rains in the spring. Go ride it now.

If you stay close to the lake, the trail is a little over 5 miles long. If you take the longer trails that move away from the lake, it can be lengthened to 8+ miles. There are several bridges that must be used. There are a few low spots on the trail that get very muddy after a hard rain.

Its a nice trail with nothing to difficult. Its well kept, the land mgt. allows the local trail org. take care of it. Perfect for beginners and a descent workout for the experienced riders...just take the loop to the archery section then double back to make it longer and more strenuous

The trail was very fun but it was very repetitive. I would say this is a great trail for people just getting into the sport. It seems as though the trails condition has gone down compared to what I have read. The trail also holds water pretty bad in a few places.

Just started Mountain biking. previously rode Motocross til bad accident so making the switch to still enjoy 2 wheelers. This was my first trail. Very good trail for beginner skills. Non-technical. Nice ride thru the woods around the lake. 5.5 miles. Start from over the levee. Track is clear and not overgrown at all. Track does have some split offs, stay close to the lake side, except near the end they ask that you go around the Archery stand, so just follow the track to the right near the very end. No big deal if you miss it, I did. A couple of wood bridges and tree jumps. Can go around the jumps easily. Highly recommend for a nice workout and for beginners.
