Description: From the starting point listed above, I take off into the woods just behind the school house, form the dirt fire roads there are many different 4x4 and tank paths once used by the military. These are great trails and in my opinion, the muddier the better. Also from this starting point you can return down Massard Road abour 1/4 mile to the back side of the Ben Geren Regional Park trail systems. Take any trails/roads and you're sure to enjoy your ride.

This area is now public property and you can ride, walk, hike on these roads no problem. There is even a paved path going through there now that will take you to the Ben Geren trails system. Roadies like to ride loops on the paved roads on this part of chaffee.

OK, this is an update. Someone told me that you would have to go through a trail riders course before riding on Chaffee property. The thing I don't understand is how that applies to these areas being as it is no longer Federal Military grounds it has been turned over to the city's of Barling and Fort Smith. Take this information and do with it what you will. I personally don't feel like this is appropriate to our riding.

great for all those just wanting to get out and stomp through the mud and hills. Old Tank trails so be prepared to get messy.
