TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

This is a very well kept trail system. The trails switch back alot due to the small area of the park. I wish a trail like this was in Gadsden, Al. Excellent trail for afterwork or training. I am not use to this flatness and all the pedaling. Rode some of The Trail of Tears prior so I was a little tired prior. Only rode 6 miles before deciding to stop. I believe the 85 deg weather got to me today. Still if you are in the area this trail is highly recommended, but not good enough to drive from N. Alabama. If you guys want a really awesome trail come up to Raccoon Mtn in Chattanooga, TN.

Similar Trail: Genes or Morgans Loop in Choccolocco. Oak Mtn for more of an epic ride, but still the best Raccoon Mtn. If you guys go to NC then go to Dupoint State Park, very nice.

This is a great trail to hit after work. And if you're short on time, it is easy to ride just the first half and still get a great workout in!

The trail has really gotten worn out. The roots are getting bigger (becoming more exposed) and there is some erosion (to be expected). The maintainers have added some new parts though, some of which that is really fun, but a challenge at the same time. Even for the experienced rider.

Similar Trail: None in the genral area. You would have to go to Tuskegee for some similiar trails.

The trail I'm reviewing is the Intermediate trail. It is a good bit more rough than the beginner trail, and with a couple of uphill hairpins and some good bumpy downhill, this is a great challenging ride for beginners, and maybe even for advanced riders who want some fun.

Really good easy trail that is good for just about anybody. The GSC Series holds races there occasionally. Trail varies from in terrain and in conditions. It does have its good spots. It is really good for beginners, but is alot of fun for the experienced when you take advantaged of the good stuff along the way.

Great set of trails. The trailhead map provides 4 different trails to follow: easy, easy/intermediate/intermediate/advanced. The trail is well marked and wonderfully maintained. The Green trail (easy/intermediate) is a great confidence builder for beginners and a fun trail ride for any skill level. Even the easy has a couple of great up/downs.

Part of the Trail of Tears is being torn down. Columbus/Phenix City needs another mountain bike trail. Freeride/fast track.

This is a great trail for all experience levels. And they are always adding new trails. Of course if you find this trail too easy then you can always try the "Trail of Tears" located across the river in Phenix City.

Similar Trail: Trail of Tears, but its more difficult.

Well maintained and not crowded. Single track with newbee areas as well as advanced, follow the red arrows for advanced. New editions for 2008 GSC series prove fun. Parts of the trail don't flow very well giving riders great exercise.
