Trail Description
About this trail
Lots of singletrack run through the park, which is heavily wooded. Lots of big climbs and long downhills, some jumps and obstacles made out of logs, stream crossings, tight switchback curves, and what appear to be either sinkholes or abandoned mine shafts (these are surrounded by orange fencing, but keep an eye out for them). There is one main trail that runs through middle of park and all others branch off of that for the most part. Have fun!

Q: I'm be traveling from the Twin Cities to Galena next weekend and would like to try this trail on the way home. Is it in good condition? Any tricks to finding a trailhead/place to park? -hystiker

A: if you look on google maps there is a dirt driveway that goes to a gate. we park right by this gate. it's right by the electric power transmission lines

Review: First time there! A little hard to find and the gate had a park closed sign on it, but still had a worn path around it...odd, but after getting back there and riding it was a blast! Lots of fun trails and technical parts! A great ride overall!

Review: Boy are the locals passionate about this system! And speaking of locals, make sure you secure a tour to get the most out of this system. Lots of sketch tech and tight twisty punchy trail. I've had fun here, would be awesome to see locals get organized and take a bit better care of the property (i.e. trail organization, way finding, invasive species management, etc.) Much potential. *edit: (6/7/14) just rode there again, locals have been putting in a TON of work and the trails are ridin' fantastic!

Review: Great singletrack. The only reason I did not give a 5 star, was because of the lack of track directions. Once I decided to just go with it, the trails became a lot more fun.

Review: Not much direction to the trails although they were fun and technical. Nice bridge drop into the creek and some single rail across other parts of the trails. All around good fun looking forward to coming back and tearing up more trails.

Review: Trails near the creek were mostly wiped out during a flood last year. You really need to pay attention to where you're going or end up in a sinkhole or riding off the edge of a bluff. There's some good climbs and pretty good downhill runs as well.

Review: This is one of the best trails in the Mid-west under 15 miles. Great technical sections, rocks roots, skinny bridges, creeks etc, and a great dedicated crew to keep things running smoothly!
