Description: F. Gilbert Hills SP, also known as Foxboro, is a state park with a plethora of trail conditions, singletrack, and fire roads. Conditions stay relatively dry even during rainy times, and the singletrack is rolling and relatively clear. A hardtail is more than ample to ride on, though a hybrid could make it through. What makes the park so great is the ability to shift up and tear through some outstanding singletrack with great scenery. Please beware hunters during the season!

It's the best trail close to home but it's very tec I enjoyed the single track every bit even the bit I walked up but over all it's a great fun filled day if your not from MA it's a definite place to shred.

I've rode here 3-4 times, not even close to enough to get to know it well. There's lots of trail, some singletrack, some fireroad or moto trail. Trails are fairly well marked. There are lots of rocky descents and climbs. More of the good trails seem to be further from the fire roads and you can tie into other state parks.

first time here as i'm visiting from se Pa. there are a few nice trails here but for me it didn't get interesting until i came across the motorcycle trail, i came back muddy, beat up, bleeding and could not stop grinning. the trail is challenging but quite rideable if you're on your game. if the trails were combined it would be perfect so you could rest between sections.

Fun ride, for sure. Technical aspects throughout the ride. Friendly tip, if you aren't a fan of rock garden after rock garden might want to stay away from the motorcycle trail.

this is one of the main biking area for SE mass/RI, can get busy on weekends, that said, there's some really nice singletrack sections here. lots to explore, with alot of different route options. also, nice place to meet people to ride with.

Rocks and Roots, everywhere. If you're looking for smooth and fast, this is not it. Trails are very technical as loose rock, embedded rocks and roots are everywhere. Without a front susp. fork you're hands will probly hurt but I would NOT recom. full susp. because of low speeds. If you like a fight with treacherous, very hilly, technical...this is for you. If you want an easy ride the fire roads are not bad exept for excessive loose rocks. Great for single speed. 29er recommended.

A 9 for a great technical ride. From the Park office on Mill Street, I took Wolf Meadow Road which eventually leads up Rockwood Trail and High Rock Road. HRR is a doubletrack that leads up to the AT&T Radio Tower. It's a DT, but definately hit it. Its a great climb on loose rock/stone and sand and it's a challenge. From up there you can find numerous unnamed/unmarked singletracks that wind through the forest with lots of downhills jammed with the usual rocks/boulders and sand. There are a lot burms in places that come in handy when you get your speed up. You can come down Megley Trail, a DT with the rocks/stones and sand that eventually leads to the trailhead off of Thurston St. This is a great ride, for sure.

Very technical the whole way around, which is fun to a point, but not really any place to just cruise, always kind of fighting through stuff. Rolling baby heads everywhere make for a tough ride. Double track is the only place you can get some real good speed going it seems
