Description: There is something for everyone at the Duke Forest. Most of the trails are frequently occupied by casual bikers, some extreme bikers, joggers and labrador retrievers. There are some singletrack which is restricted to foot traffic only. Otherwise, there are probably 15+ miles of trails to challenge your speed and biking skills.

The Duke Forest is part of a large network of trail systems in the Durham area.
You can start at dozens of locations, mostly on West Cornwallis Rd, Mt Sinia Rd,
and Erwin Rd. You can connect a good amount of fireroads and single track trails
using the local paved roads.

Good network of fireroads that cross NC751 and connect with the Duke gold course trail. Closed due to hunting / deer reduction M-F Sept through Dec; more details here: http://www.dukeforest.duke.edu/

Even with the numerous joggers, walkers, and other sundry pedestrian traffic, the trails did not feel congested or crowded. There are a few hills on which it is possible to pick up a fair amount of speed; however, most intermediate- and advanced-level riders will find these trails somewhat less than challenging.
