Description: Trail has is a good 3-5 miles long mostly flat. Single track the whole way with jumps and rolling surface. This is a beginner trail, very flat.
this trail is nothing but roots with a bunch of mud holes thrown in. the trails are twisty and narrow. i lost my bearing a couple times and ended coming out about a mile from the middle school which wasnt bad because the was a nice looking female jogger in front of me. there is alot of off camber areas so i fell down a lot, most of the time i the mud. trail is also used by motocycles.
Rode this trail for the first time today. With all the rain, it was fairly muddy and looks like it gets a lot of ATV use. Still, it was lots of fun and the area is filled with trails, keeping it exciting and new with each run.
Just rode it today for the first time & thought it was great for the Ocean front vicinity- a plus for the rating. The MTX guys have left alot of water filled ruts, but they were fun for the most part. Would also make a nice trail run when drier. Close to home, fun, over all good way to spend a piece of the day.
Similar Trail: The last 2 miles of 64th ST/ First Landing.
Decent ride, roots in certain sections, fun trail with a few ups/downs on the perimeter track at the edge of the woods. Some motox riders back there so probably smart not to ride with music.
I ride this trail 3 times a week if weather is good. It is quite a fun ride. Once you know the trail you can criscross and circle around to get a 8 mile work out. lots of roots and bumps which makes it a standing ride for most of the way. great for burning calories.
The trail is being used by some kids riding motocross bikes. That makes the trail soft, dusty, rooty, not much fun for MTB ride. Fortunately the motorbikes are quite noisy so one can step aside the trail when they approach not to get smashed.
Trail is a bit overgrown. A towing enforced sign marks the entrance from Damn Neck. I'm not sure where the other entrance is, haven't ridden that far into the trail due to growth.
I grew up right behind these trails, good memories. Lots of rollers all flat and short. You can also park in the neighborhood behind the school, named RedMilll, but you have to enter from Oceana Drive off of General Boothe
