Description: Pritty safe in terms of geting lost, most of the trails loop back on to the main trail, but their are no signs. If you don't like bugs don't hang around long when your down in the swamier areas but hey that's the only place you'll find big hills so... Moter vehicles aren't alowd.

Not all that great, not much to say either. Take the path in by the sign that says "$500 fine for motor vehicles" The trail has gotten much more wide due to the amount of ATVs that ride through. I crossed about 8 different ATV riders, and only 1 biker. A good amount is torn up and not really worth riding, the elevation change isn't all that much either. Overall, boring.

Many trails on this network have been dug out by ATVs, and I met a group of three trail bikers on the trails. Good for short rides, like 1-2 hours as the trails loop back on each other. Fair amount of loose sand, mild up and down hill, some rocks and roots.

Colchester High School trails cover a wide variety of terrain, from fast riding single track through the woods to more technical and much steeper single track in the lower region by the beaver dam. The upper terrain has a great network of well defined single track with some excellent views of Lake Champlain from the top of a 40 ft. cliff. Plenty of aerobic, fast riding accessible so close to town. Great for training or perfect for beginners if they stay on the more mellow upper trails.
