Description: Nice singletrack trail, some rolling hill type sections, some steep climbs or descents depending on which way your choosing to go...also a doubletrack/dirt road(which I did not include in the mileage) that circles the entire lake that can be ridden by anyone with a little fitness under their belt....trails kept in good condition.....MS state games race held here once a year.... I would say currently, this is one of the top trails in MS.

Rode this trail on October 22, 2011. It was very well maintained. They have a 12 mile loop marked off with orange arrows. We just explored and ended up doing 10 miles. Some sandy bottoms but most can be avoided. Decent hills and some nice flowing downhills. Bike, Hiking, & Horse trails run all around the lake & you can bike all of those trails. I would say over 20+ Miles in total. The horse trails are more sandy and worn. Its in top 3 trail systems in Mississippi. We picked up a map from a local horse rider, proved invaluable. We did a GPS of our 10 mile loop & I will upload it to singletrack for anyone who wants it.

I rode this Trail yesterday for the State Games Race. The hills are nice and there are some fun technical climbs. The only down side to this trail is the sand patches that can be found throughout. Otherwise its a great trail.

I love these trails, and I try to hit them everytime I am in Meridian. The trail system is kind of confusing, with alot crisscrossing trails. However, grab a map, (or not) and just take off. The loop around the lake is a good cool down ride at the end of the day

I like this trail. Not a well-ridden trail, but very well maintained. There are steep climbs and descents. Some of the climbs are mighty tough due to loose rocks hidden by a layer of leaves. This trail presents many uphill technical challenges. I recommend keeping your head up and eyes forward. There are sharp turns and switchbacks on climbs and descents. Multiple parallel trails make it fun to ride with others...

I am from the area and ride these trails very often, the single track loops are well maintained by local riders and park employees. Once you start a trail it leads to three or four others and this can eat up an entire day, which is what we all want right. Full suspension bikes are overkill on these loops, some areas have bad roots, but my hardtail takes them with ease. I suggest the number one trail loop to get a good idea of the area and terrain.
