Description
Nice Greeway all paved from Mansell Rd. all the way to Web Bridge. Somewhat crowded depending on the time you go. Several children and high-speed road bikes around.

Great on the Summer since it offers so much shade that alleviates a little bit the hot weather.
And always, beware of snakes. I've seen two including a venomous copperhead.

At the Web Bridge end of this trail, you get access to the YMCA MTB trail listed here as well.

Review: Just to clarify, there is a paved Greenway and near it’s north end(Alpharetta) there is a small MTB trail and on the Southern tip (Roswell) a big MTB trail @ Big Creek Park. The Big Creek Greenway Mountain Bike Trail (the trail reviewed here), is the small mountain bike dirt trail near the NORTH end of the (paved) Greenway. You can access the Greenway MTB off-road trail from the Greenway parking lot right next to the Alpharetta YMCA. Take the northbound Greenway entrance which goes right behind the Y and cross a bridge. MTB Trail entrance is on the right. Go 30 yards and you see a trail map station which states it is maintained by RAMBO. It is basically one hill. The beginner loop goes all around the base of the hill and is pretty flat. It has switchbacks and lots of close small trees and some tree roots and rocks, so it is a great learning trail for beginners. If you take the intermediate level it winds up/down the hill on switchbacks. It has close trees too, and adds more tree roots, rocks, a couple of small technical bumps and rocks to climb up (or go down). There are even some optional, man-made technical “features” at the top. Overall, it has only beginner and intermediate trails, is very nice, but it is very short compared with the Big Creek Park MTB trails on the south end of the Greenway.

Similar Trail: the beginner and intermediate portion of Big Creek Park MTB trails, but much shorter

Review: Judging by the comments, there seems to be a bit of confusion about this specific "trail". The Greenway portion of Big Creek is the paved trail that runs behind the actual singletrack trail system. They are NOT the same. You can access the freeride section of the trail system directly from the greenway and you can also access one of the loops of the singletrack trails from this same area. It kills me that paved "trails" are even on this site.

Review: Basically ends up being not more than an access trail to the DH section.... if you're here to ride this trail itself, well then, ok.....

Review: Very versatile trail. You can choose to make it an easy ride or tough ride according to what trails you take. Great downhill course.

Review: Like Silver comet trail, great paved greenway to ride with family and good workout during week days. It gets somewhat crowded with families with kids and high speed bikes.
