Description: Single track and double track. Very flat, sandy at times. Aproximately 5 mile loop. Well maintained. The trail is fairly easy and good for beginners. However, beginners need to watch out for the inclines on which stepping logs have been imbedded to accomadate hikers. Watch out for all of the joggers, too! Lots of them. It is a really beautiful nature trail.

TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

The 2,3,5 mile loop being reviewed is a mixed purpose trail. There is a new, little known mountain bike only trail on the Tate county side of the park. You must exit the main park and re-enter in a smaller area down the road. The new trail is tight, nice bridges over the ditches, but needs more use to keep the vegetation in check. Go check it out! The horse trails next to it make it even longer and more fun.* Review edited 11/4/2010

Similar Trail: Village Creek State Park, Arkansas. Also not as widely known but fun.

Trail is very skinny, not sandy as described above. Not very much of a beginner trail, constant pedaling and slow uphill climbs. Terrain is pretty basic, lots of roots. This trail is not used very often, lots of spider webs and fallen tree limbs. No flat speed areas, so its more of an endurance trail.

This is well mantained and marked well. Very senic. My every other day workout spot.

Great trail to ride if you are looking just to get some dirt on your tires.

Similar Trail: Stanky Creek - Bartlett, TN

This trail has a 2-mile, a 3-mile and a 5-mile loop. There were lots of hills and some water in the low lying areas from a recent rain.
