Pros: If you have the power to keep pedaling it will dig and not throw mud all over you so your weighted down. Also I get traction on roots when I spin out these tires seem to bite.

Cons: Of course there not built for the road so there not going to hold up on road surfaces well.

Recommendation: Buy them, There priced right and so far have been mean in the mud. Be prepared to get tired in that mud you can now go through.
