Pros: Has some of the classic rides.

Cons: Very dated and old information. Needs to be updated.

Recommendation: Don't bother buying this book.

Pros: Good if you're new to the area and have no other resources.

Cons: Somewhat dated. Shows many variations of the same route and lists them as separate rides. Lots of doubletrack and dirt roads. Omits many worthwhile rides.

Recommendation: A typical Falcon pocket guide with all the usual strengths and weaknesses. If you're looking for a good intro to the area, pick up Montana Singletrack from Beartooth Publishing instead. Although only 5/50 rides in the book are dedicated to Helena, it provides a far better introduction to the area.
