Description The nations premier bicycling magazine. Covers everything about the fast growing sport of mountain biking, including event coverage, fitness issues, technical information, bike tests, and product reviews.
Pros: Lots of reviews and good pictures. very full of different content.
Cons: Sometimes it seems like there are endless adds. Sometimes there are complete catalogs in the issues. It seems like the reviews can be a bit influenced, like they are paid to give a good review.
Recommendation: Over all not a bad magazine at all. It is packed with good reading each issue.
Pros: Good spread of articles from Pros to amatures. Love the garage files as i don't like taking my bike to the shop, i'd rather do it myself. Great heads up on bargains too.
Cons: Not a lot.
Recommendation: Can't wait for it to come out each month, i guess i should subscribe really and save myself some wedge!
Pros: Compare and contrasts different bikes and options that you can put onto bikes. Reviews inexpensive to expensive bikes and gives their opinion on what they should do differently.
Cons: none so far
Recommendation: MTB Action is a great read for any person who loves the sport. They do cover more all mountain and cross country stuff but that is what most of the readers do.
Pros: Covers just about all the bases. MTbiking is now a very broad spectrum and this magazine does a damn good job covering as many of the different aspects as it can. Great reviews and tech notes as well as an ongoing wishlist of gear.
Cons: More articles and tech notes.
Recommendation: Great overall magazine that covers a lot with in the sport. Definitely has a little bit of everything for everyone.
Pros: Great tips, great reviews on gear and bikes for those on a budget to those that money isn't a problem. Great editorials. The guys that are invovled with this magazine are passionite about mountian biking and the bikes and gear to do it best with.
Cons: Can't think of any, the ads are even nice to look over.
Recommendation: Great for everyone from first timers that to pros. Great magazine for ones just getting started.
Recommendation: Great Mag. Just like everyone else it has too many adds but that helps keep the price down. I do wish that they would put in more riding tips and technical bike repair and or building techniques.
