TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

This is the trail that time has forgotten. This trail is the equivalent of the old cabin that hasn't been lived in for decades and is starting to crumble. I drove an hour to get there. Now that I've "tried" riding it, if this trail were in my back yard I would rather ride one of those exciting stationary bikes in the gym. This trail simple has not been kept up for I'll bet at least 10+ years. It's first mile and a half ( all down hill ) is a catch all for heavy rains which have made much of that stretch un-rideable even for the best riders in my opinion. Weeds and grass have over grown many sections as high as my knees and small pine trees are coming up on the trail just as high. I came across two sections where several large trees had fallen and were across the trail waist high. They have been there for awhile to be sure. I probably rode only 2 1/2 miles into it before I finally gave in and decided it was no longer enjoyable - not even in the least bit. Maybe I should have strapped on a weed whacker and chain saw. I suppose this was a decent trail at one time but I'll never know as I only went roughly 2 1/2 miles into it and simple had to walk my bike back out much of the way up hill as ( like I said earlier ) water had eroded large down hill sections. In this review, where I was asked to "choose the best description" I was not given the option to use my own term so I simply chose the least appealing from the list available. Same with the overall rating. If I could have given my own rating number it would be a negative 5 ( -5 ). This trail has definitely devolved for the wildcats, bears, and squirrels. I think because it is located pretty far from larger populations it just simple fell to neglect. Plain and simple. Having been on several very well ridden, challenging, and kept trails in and around both Hot Springs and Little Rock . . . my final thought : DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS ONE.

Similar Trail: The raw untouched forest would best fit in similar description.
