Getting there
Getting There: Start anywhere in downtown Ely, take _ Street North towards the
big mountain closest to Ely with the radio towers on the top of it. Cross the
railroad tracks, follow the road right, and notice the quad-track on the right that
climbs abruptly towards the cell-phone tower, this is the start of Down the Tracks.

Directions for All Trails: Hop on this quad-track which parallels the railroad tracks,
wave to any trains that go by, and enjoy mashing on the rollercoaster trail until
you see the railroad tracks curving east and crossing the road. You'll come across
a gravel road that connects with a paved road, head downhill on this. Right before
you get to the pavement take a left and follow a nasty short steep trail up. This
will mellow out and then starts a gradual climb. Follow this two-track road until it
hits the power-line.

For the shorter Down the Tracks loop, take a left at the powerline and follow it
until it ends in the bottom of a sandy wash. Head up the sandy wash for a little
ways until you see a dirt road coming in on your left. This is where Canyon Cutoff
comes down.
If you're going for Whorehouse Hill or Canyon Cutoff take a right at the power-
line and follow more quad-tracks into the mountains and into a canyon. Once in
canyon follow the main road until you top out and are looking back down on Ely
and are near all the radio towers. As soon as you crest you should see a dirt road
straight ahead of you, slightly to your left. Follow this and then take the first left
that you come to. This is the beginning of the first big downhill. At the bottom of
this you'll come across a quad trail. Head left for Canyon Cutoff, follow this
wash/trail downhill until you come out of the canyon. The wash will continue but
you'll want to take a dirt road that comes in on your right. Follow this down to the
railroad tracks and _ street where you started.

If you went right/up follow this trail until you top out on a ridge for 1/4 mile.
Follow the road around and will see a quad-track coming in on your left that goes
out onto a ridge and looks like it drops straight into Ely. It does, this is
Whorehouse Hill. Follow this down, cross the tracks, ride through the red light
district back to _ street to where you started. Go to the Twisted Pine, have a
beer, and say what's up to Bob.
