Description
singletrack through high desert in a larger network of 18 Road/Bookcliffs area. Vegetarian trail is across the road from the lower parking area and splits from Prime Cut to go east and then loops to connect with lower Chutes and Ladders. Just another option in a great area of Fruita singletrack.

Review: Nothing special about this trail but it is great as an avenue to get to other trails. For younger or new riders I recommend climbing it and descending Down Uppity. The climb is an easy warm-up and Down Uppity will give you an idea of the narrowness and exposure of the more advanced trails in a less technical setting.

Review: Nothing special here, more fun to ride down than up. Can get very hot in the afternoons even in Fall. If you want a long boring climb...here you go.

Review: One of the original 18 Road trails. Nothing fancy and maybe a little bumpy due to cattle. Used with Chutes & Ladders or Prime Cut.

Similar Trail: Prime Cut

Review: I used this trail as a warm up on my first day in Fruita. It's very much a beginner run and kind of ho-hum at that. The scenery is kind of desolate and the tread is pretty boring. If I were to do it over again and just wanted to add five easy miles to my day, I'd just go do Kessel & Prime Cut a couple of times. It's not a bad trail though. The tread is in good shape and it's mostly singletrack and 100% rideable. Good place to take a beginner.

Review: This a a fun short trail. Once you pick up the chutes and Ladders trail, the fun begins. The single track is fun, fast and smooth.
