Description: This singletrack has a fair amount of up and downs, with quite a few brute climbs involved. It generally seems like you take on one stiff climb, followed by a downhill portion, then some flat cruising to the next climb. Repeat around ten times and you have this portion of the Arizona Trail. Very pretty meadows. You have one awesome view of the East Rim of the Grand Canyon as well that is worth stopping for pictures.

The East Rim Viewpoint is the best but this trail is also accessable from hwy 89a less than 2 miles east of Jacob Lake. From this point the trail is in pine forest. Riding south to the East Rim would be about 30 miles, another 7 to the national park boundary, my favorite section of this trail. Some day I have to ride it north to the Utah border, big descent. Elevations range from below 5000' at Utah to 8400' and higher south of East Rim. Actually called the Kaibab Trail and is part of the AZ Trail. Few people here.

This trail is a lot of stiff climbs followed by quick downhills, then rolls through some green meadows. There is one incredible view point of the East Rim during the early section of the ride. I remember this ride best for being decently grueling every year I do it.
