Higher Ground is developing a new park in southern Williamson county. These trails will accomodate beginners to Advanced riders. At this time we have only 2mi. of trail completed but plan an 8 to 10 mile course. The land is very rolling with lots of elevation change. WE also have trail running through the valley. There will be creek crossings along with a few bridge crossings. Some bridges will be failly easy while there will also be ladder bridges on the more technical trails. We are going to offer everything from a nice ride through the lower part of our camp to good hill climbs and great ridge runs leading to some good down hill. We will have something for everyone. I hope you took time to read this and have an interest in seeing a new well built park for the mtb community. We also need volunteers to help with trail building. If you are interested please contact us at our email address. I'll be happy to get in touch.

Review: These are solid trails. It's a relatively short non-technical trail, but it has some nice climbs and corresponding quick down hills. More than anything, these trails need more people to ride them. They are relatively new and need to be worn in. The group that maintains the trail are super friendly. This is private property, so please respect the area so that they will keep it open for all of us to use.

Review: Whoa! These are nice trails. Nice workout for 4 miles. Here are the directions: From Nashville take I-65 south to Peytonsville Rd. exit. Turn right. Go to 4 way stop. Turn right. Go 1 mile to Henpeck Lane. Turn left. Go 3 miles to Columbia Hwy. Turn left. Go 100 yards and turn right on Coleman Rd. Go 3 miles to Carters Creek Pk. Turn left. Go 3 miles to Perkins Rd. Turn right. Go 1.8 miles to Deer Run Entrance on left. Call (615)566-0028 for additional info. I reccommend these trails.

Review: We now have a complete single track loop around the camp. No more road riding. The new section still needs work but its ridable. We should finish grooming this new section by Christmas. We will then move on to the gully section and complete the rock garden and a couple jump before moving to a new section which should expand our trails from 4 miles to around 8miles of singletrack. come and ride and help us get these trails riden in and firmed up. What we have drains very well. We can usually ride the day after it rains.

Review: Great ride..I previously reviewed this trail without riding the whole thing..It is better marked now..Good climb on the backside by the lake with a bombing downhill run..Definitely a good amount of climbing..Fun ride..John Cadwallader (sp?) is a nice guy, he's normally out there on Saturdays working/riding..He'll show you around..They're working on the tchnical gulley area no, which tends to be very promising..They had 40 or 50 boulders trucked in they plan on using to make it more difficult..Great ride..

Review: I'd agree, this trail offers good elevation change for the area. Similar to Chickasaw Trace, just not as long. The land has a lot of potential, depending on how much is available for development. The trails are not very technical thus far, but climbs are somewhat demanding and descents are fast. The map at the trailhead has future trails slated for the backside of the location, which includes a pretty big ridge. 10 miles of trails out here would be make a pretty good ride. Trails are well maintained, just need to get volunteers to help make it longer and more technical (in my opionion).

Review: We now have about 4 miles of trail. We are getting to trails more clearly marked. We are working on some jumps and a nice gulley for more technical riding. we should have close to 5 mi. of trail by summers end. give us a call and come check it out. we have something for all skill levels. Hope to start on section 2 by fall. this will add about 5 to 6 miles of good fast single track to go along with to 5 we will already have.
