Biking the rural landscape of San Lorenzo in B. surroundings.
The route begins at the car park of the sport centre in San Lorenzo in Banale. You start downhill at the crossing in the direction of Dorsino, and you stay on the main path. In the old centre of Dorsino [5] you turn to the right, cross the main street [6] and you keep climbing this street. You reach a tight crossing [7] where you turn to the right on to a forest road. The road becomes less steep. At the village Dolaso you turn to the left before the church [8]. Leaving the church below you reach San Lorenzo in Banale. At the first junction [9] you keep to the right and the street joins the main road at a hairpin bend [10]. You follow the main road for 200 m uphill and you turn left after the church [11]. This secondary road takes you uphill to some nice villages of the Banale region like Pergnano and Senaso. There is a beautiful old church in Pergnano [12] which you pass on the right hand side. You turn to the right and then to the left and you arrive at Senaso [13]. At the middle of the pond you turn to the left and the small street leads you out of the village through pastures to the forest and to the Val d'Ambiez. After about 1 km we abandon this path at a junction [14] where we rejoin the valley turning left. There is again a tight junction [15] which you follow to the left where a nice downhill starts. You have to look for another tight junction in about 1 km [16] and you turn to the right. [This junction is near point 07 of the route which we have already passed uphill]. Our path becomes a nice single trail, enters the forest and makes a skilled rider happy for about 1 km before it rejoins the main road near Malga d'Ambiez [18]. You follow the main road to the right, which leads you in a descent over the bridge of the Ambiez canyon. Immediately after the bridge you turn to the left in the direction of the "Dolomiti di Brenta Bike" track. We cross again the Torrente d'Ambiez on a small bridge to the left. You keep right at the next junction and you cross the torrent again. The route takes you onto a forest road along the main road to Tavodo. Short of the point where the street hits the main road [21] still climbing you take the secondary road to the left which takes you down to Andogno [22]. You turn to the left and cycle along the original "Dolomiti di Benta Bike" track. After 2 km the track becomes a small forest path for 800 m and leads you to a wayside shrine [26]. You turn to the left and you return to the starting point ascending on the main path.
