Pros: Rock Solid. Takes a bashing and keeps on thrashing
Cons: BB5 brakes are noisy as hell and unpredictable. Rear shock is pretty cheap but reasonable to upgrade.
Recommendation: Great entry level bike. I've got about 1000 miles of intermediate/advanced trail on mine. I've replaced the chain/insanely thin tubes/and noisy brake pads. I've jumped/crashed/thrashed this bike and it keeps coming back for more. Want a full suspension bike for a hard tail price..this is the bike for you. Lots of room to upgrade..the frame is bullet proof. I love my Motobecane.
