Description
It's the ultimate Unimog, jet-pack tractor of the dual suspension mountain bike world. There's no place this bike can't roll. A boost valve RP23 rear Fox shock with 100mm of travel, tapered headtube, 15mm thru-axle front hub, and Easton wheelset means racier, stiffer, and light as a feather. Ride it all young beast, now there's no excuse.

Pros: Lightweight and durable frame. Amazing attention to detail and solid component mix out of the gate. Frame geometry is perfect mix between XC race and AM dabbling.
Cons: The wheels and tires may not be quite up to all-mountain level riding, depending on your terrain and speed.
Recommendation: Kona did a good job walking the line between XC and all-mountain with the Hei Hei 2-9. This is a great bike for XC riders who like to spend all day in the saddle without feeling beat up or folks who don't like to slow down for short gnarly sections on the XC trail.

Recommendation: I just built up a 2011 Hei Hei 29 frame... and instantly decided it was the best damn bike I've ever had. Fits me like a glove, I can climb and pedal hard with no suspension bob, and it descends very predictably. I'm really happy with this frame design.
