I don't normally write reviews but people really have to know this cus this company has just scammed me.
You know i like the idea of supporting local businesses but don't waste your money at this one
They have terrible policies, will hound you like a car salesman, and everything is excessively over priced.
Let me tell you my situation. My car broke down in June with a pretty bad engine problem. I was walking about a mile in the heat to get groceries and a money order at the heb to pay rent. I saw that there was a bike shop next door and I was like dang bike would be really nice right now. Now I told them I just wanted something simple to get around. They sell me a fixie for 500$ which is the most basic kind of bike that's usually worth about 100$. I go ok this is pretty expensive but it's the cheapest they have and it's a decent investment and i can always return it if i find out its over priced. Well they don't actually let you return which would have been nice to know. Also it turns out that the bike sold to me is 270$ brand new from the company that makes the bike and I could have got it mailed to my house. I go back and am like you way over charged me and they said we wont give me my money back but we will let you trade it for something else. The one they let me trade it for was nicer but this is obviously a very bad business practice. Basically I got scammed so uh yeah wow guess ya got me good.
Well, I went back today cus they told me they would fix my bike if it had any issues. Well the valve snapped so i was like ok i can at least get my money's worth if they're fixing it. Well these little sharts tell me they will do it for 20$ after i already payed them a stupid amount of money. This is pretty irredeemable. I am completely done with these people. At this point I wonder if this is illegal.
Do not trust this company, do not give them your hard earned money.

I know you're frustrated, but none of this sounds unreasonable. Bike shops don't usually take returns on used bikes for obvious reasons. If you overpaid, that's on you for not doing your research.

Replacing valves and tubes is part of owning a bike, normal wear and tear. I'm guessing when they said they would fix your bike if there were any issues they were talking about any defects, problems with the assembly, or adjustments to the fit. I'm actually impressed that they let you trade up to a better bike, seems like you came out ahead here.

      Thank

This place is a hidden gem. Friendly staff, very reasonable prices and great selection of used bikes.
