Q: With the new pct realignment how much extra ascent is there for the nearly 8kft descent? -Hunter411

A: The pct realignment trail is called gold valley rim trail. It's roughly 800-900 ft climbing.for the 8kft descent you have to climb another 1500ft to the top of the butter lookout tower. Ride gold valley rim if you want to ride big Boulder or pauley Creek.

Q: Could my 140 mm trek remedy 8 handle these trails? -Guest

A: Agree, nothing too technical, but for a lot of riders that are used to smoother trails...Butcher would be considered super gnarly. 140 is fine, as long as the rider is fine...same as any trail in that respect.
