About Me

As a Kid, I loved BMX. I Never owned a BMX Bike and Never rode a BMX Track either as a Youth. Luckily I saw a TV Sports Clip/Video in the early 90's on Mountain Biking in Moab, which was a foreIgn place to me? Soooo, I bought my first MTB and ventured out to my local County Park. Loved it, but got bored Riding alone. Luckily with the help of a few new friends and doing a few Real MTB Rides, I was hooked. I starting researching distant places to Ride. After speaking with one of my LBS employee's, I learned about Tsali, Pisgah, DuPont, Conyers and Ellijay, GA. Once visiting the Tsali area and experiencing Riding somewhere new, again I was enamored. We continued on Riding most of the East Coast, only leaving out Trails in CT, RI, NH, VT, SC and FL. Most of my memorable and cherished memories are of Riding my MTBike. It only changed me for the Better. I hope to complete my Buck List by finishing the States left on the East Coast and many more places out West. Just another side note, I was one of the founding members of the Mountain Bike Trail at Estell Manor Park in Estell Manor, NJ with the Loving Help of ACTV, Atlantic County Trail Volunteers ~ JORBA, Jersey Off Road Bicycling Association and IMBA, the International Mountain Biking Association. Your ever in the Deep part of Southern, New Jersey. Check it out ;) Ride On ;)

Pretty Cool Pod Cast. However, I have some gripes for several of your view points. Plus is not dead! Yes it seems to be fading, but those who've ridden 1.95 to 2.2 tires since the beginning wouldn't revert back once they Ride a Plus Tire. I've never been a fan of anything 29er. See they…
I've never been to Arkansas, but since the MTBiking Boom the last Decade or so It's on my Bucket List to Ride. I has to say this Story touches my heart, because growing up in a Small Town and seeing it flourish from visitors has to be a Awesome feeling. I hope Arkansas continues to…
I sincerely appreciate this Indoor MTB Park list! Ray's get the most attention from Cycling Magazines and other MTB/BMX tribes. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see others have followed Ray's dream/idea and turned their Indoor Park into reality. With that being said, my Old Hometown has an abandoned, three story Factory next to Lake Lenape and…
Well said Robert Dobbs, I whole heartily agree.
Hey Colton, just wanted to say there is no right answer. Yes Music does relax you, but hearing is a safety issue while MTBiking....even on Colorado's Front Range. Plenty of Time for Music during your Post Ride Campfire and Brew gathering with your fellow Riders. I personally don't have a problem with it, but have…

No offense but I'm a bit confused by this Trail listing? 20 years ago this (at least I think this...
Charlie has done MTBiking a great service by documenting the History of our beloved sport. I wish there was something I could do to contribute to this cause. I look forward to vising the MTBHOF in the future ;)
Terence Burke, You are one knowledgable dude, I agree with your prediction! I live where its really flat so XC is still the norm here. Unfortunitly, we have seen the XC Bike (hardtail) take a back seat to the everyday suspension MTB. I still ride a 27.5 Plus Hardtail (figured the Plus Tires would give…
Well written or explained Greg. I love our Sport, it is so diverse and progressive. There are only two things I dislike, E-Bikes and the debait over Mountain Bikes being allowed in Designated Wilderness Areas (National Parks, etc). They are both the white elephant in the room and need IMBA, STC and local and regional MTB…
