Rocky until you get past the rail toad tracks, dirt road looping doesn’t towards the Ohio River. Some parts are still unexplored. So far, I’ve done 8 miles total. 4 miles in and 4 miles back.

Dubbed the “Water Bar Trail,” this section of the Fork Mountain Trail is filled with 40 water bars, some up to 5 ft high. These make for an unjustifiable amount of suffering to attempt climbing. But, in descending from the west, they turn into a fun and fast romp.

Head South on Kennison Mountain Trail skirting Blue Knob to the West. Turn right on Pocahontas Trail #263, crossing a grassy road heading west. Mix of single and some double track. Few wet sections. Solid rideable climbs if conditions right. Few fun downhills.

This is probably the easiest, fun trail at Cranberry. Rides through forested terrain with a few gully crossings. Uses short sections of road to link together two fine loops.

Maze of trails but area is between cliff and road so no way to really get lost.
