Watch: How To Improve Your Braking – Guide To One Finger Braking

Do you use two or more fingers on the lever when you brake? To help you gain more control on your bike, Blake’s got some tips on how to brake with only one finger.

Lever placement: The most common reason for people to brake with more than one finger is poor lever placement. You want to have your index finger locked into the hooked part of your lever.

Why brake with one finger? Quite simply, if you’ve got more fingers gripping the bars, you’ll have greater control over the bike.
