Switchbacks can be tricky obstacles to master as they tend to exist as a way to mellow out steeper, gnarlier terrain. This means, by definition, they’re a harder feature to ride. You need to use skill areas from all areas of your riding all at once to take them on successfully: looking around the corner, braking management, cornering, weighting the tires, and being confident all come into play. Sounds tricky right? it’s actually not so bad!
