If you watched the Super Bowl, you probably saw Budweiser’s “Brewed the Hard Way” commercial. I personally didn’t catch the big game, but I’m connected enough in the craft beer world to have heard about the commercial via the uproar it’s caused.
Don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy of Budweiser bashing craft breweries when their parent company, Anheuser-Busch InBev, continues to buy out craft breweries like 10 Barrel. I’m not here to talk about that today. Instead, I’m here to share one of the many rebuttal videos that have flooded the interwebs this week.
And this one includes mountain bikes.
It’s undeniable: craft beer and mountain bikes are inseparable.

Craft beer is still tiny compared to the “macro brews.” C’mon Bud, pick on someone your own size!
I am a home-brew craft brewer since, believe it or not, 1979. I was blown away when some old guy told me I could make my own, and showed me how. I called it “Mumbrew”. Now I am an old guy, I ride a 29er, and I have got a batch of HoneyWeiss brewing right now. You all know that Bud brags about being “beech wood aged”. Well, the pioneers used to make their bowls out of beech wood – because it is odorless and tasteless. That is why Bud is tasteless. I wouldn’t drink it if it was free.
