Someone needs to build something in the middle of the midwest. Would love to have something within driving distance of central Illinois.

You need to check out Two Rivers Bike Park in Missouri.
The system is listed as West Loop; That’s not the name of the park, just a single trail there. (something that should get fixed)
Its located just south of Springfield. Singletracks missed it big time in their review of bike parks, partly because of the name mix up perhaps.

Missouri has such great mtb opportunities.

@Bwpaulk: ” Singletracks missed it big time in their review of bike parks, partly because of the name mix up perhaps.” Not sure if you’re talking about this article. This was a survey from MTBparks.com, Singletracks.com had little to do with it.

I’ve drove thru Missouri a few times, never rode there. Not sure how their bike parks would stack up to parks that have the elevation found in the Rockies and Appalacians. Probably the same reason you don’t find good Skiing in Missouri, you need actual mountains for it to be worthwile.

In the Northwest US, I rode three of the five last summer…
I’d rate Big Sky far ahead of both Grand Targhee and Silverfish.
