Black Friday. Small business Saturday. Cyber Monday. Bro deal Tuesday. Ok, I made that last one up but you get the picture: retailers have lost their minds. Mountain bike retailers are no different and this year, the savings party started early with Black Friday leaks, previews, and extended promotions like free shipping. Here’s our list of the best MTB deals we could find from major retailers.

Know about a good MTB deal we didn’t mention? Make sure you get yours first, then tell everyone about it in the comments! Keep in mind, these prices are subject to change and some items may sell out quickly.

Chain Reaction Cycles

Chain Reaction Cycling is getting in on the Black Friday action with deep discounts on a wide variety of products from apparel to bike frames to forks and helmet cameras. Plus, they’re also offering $20 off orders over $149 with code BF2014. And with the code DEALS you can score 10% off certain brands and categories including Schwalbe tires, Osprey packs, and Nukeproof bike frames. Finally, Chain Reaction is offering free shipping on orders over $99.

Competitive Cyclist

Competitive Cyclist is running their “Holiday Lead-Out” sale already and they claim these are their deepest discounts of the year. They even have deals on complete bikes from Yeti, Niner, Santa Cruz, Intense, Pivot, and BMC.

JensonUSA “leaked” most of their Black Friday deals last week but they didn’t blow the whole wad just yet. The online retailer is offering free shipping for most orders over $50 and has discounts on everything from complete bikes to jerseys and tires.

Local Bike Shops

This year we’re seeing more and more local bike shops getting in on holiday kickoff sales and the best part is you probably don’t have to wait in line for hours in the cold to get the best deals. So be sure to swing by your local shop this weekend to help support the local riding economy.

PricePoint got the Black Friday deals started earlier this week and is offering virtual “doorbusters” each day up to 74% off. The company is also offering its usual deals, including 30% off all Osprey packs.

Bike Nashbar is offering free shipping on most orders over $49 through the end of the year and they’re offering an extra 25% off Pearl Izumi and Shimano items Thursday through Sunday.

REI is kinda weird: they have actual stores and you need to go into those stores to make Black Friday purchases. Oh, and they’re only happening on Friday. Reminds me of the good old days…

Anyway, look for 40-50% off select Garmin GPS devices and the NiteRider Lumina 700 bike light for just $69.99 ($119.95 MSRP). REI will also be discounting store brand packs and clothing which are always super durable items. is offering free shipping with no minimum order size.
