I have never been much for wearing pads – typically they are bulky, hot, and ill-fitting. The Transition knee pads from 7iDP, however, are none of these things. They rely only on silicone leg grippers to keep them in place, which means there are no straps, buckles, or Velcro. The pad itself is thin and flexible until it encounters an impact, then it hardens. The rest of the pad is made from mesh and Spandex, keeping them light and stretchy. This makes the Transition knee pads comfortable to wear on all-day rides that feature lots of pedaling. And, at only 9.5oz (270g) for a pair of XL pads, they won’t weigh down a pack either.
