Thanks for the info, John! Looking forward to riding out there
bummer, but thanks for the info on snowshoe. i dont think im going that far north, but ill keep it in mind and add it to the list in hopes that it will grow in the future lol
yea thats fine, im waiting on my mom to decide where we are going so hopefully there are sweet trails around there.
hey! Markham Park does require that you sign a waiver. You just go to the park office and watch a short safety video, sign the form, and get an ID card. Its free and is also to let the park know how many riders there are and if someone gets hurt they will have the medical information on file.
Welcome to singletracks!

Lol yea the R9’s weight may be a little excessive for anything flat to uphill. And whenever you do get the chance to come down here just let me know.
And ughhh, I dont even want to think about school -_-Thanks and I dunno man, im used to the rear suspension from my MX bike so I think I would be more confident flying with some travel in the back 😃 And yea i would definitely go with the AM P.1, they definitely look like the better free ride bikes. Lol about the beach, I didn’t gather up enough energy to go all the way to the beach so I just did a little loop around my house and then rode down to the river about a mile from my house 😛 I may be heading back up to my dads house soon tho, so hopefully we can do a ride at your trail sometime soon! 😎
I too love the orange! Nice rides guys!
Heres mine that will hopefully be transformed into something with rear travel one day 😃
My worst crash happened on the road…
My friends and I were going skimboarding and since I had the best bike I had to carry 2 of my buddies skim boards. So I was carrying the skim boards with my left arm and everything was fine.. Until we came up to a big downhill. Normally this is no problem however I got up a lot of speed on the way down and I was in a gear that was way to light. Plus there was a car coming up behind me. So I tried to switch the left gears with my right hand which caused me to drift quite a bit to the right where a steal guard rail was just waiting for my arrival. So the bike hit the rail causing me to front flip over the rail slamming ribs and leg on the rail. The rail left a huge cut in my side and a huge strawberry on my right thigh.
I bruised my ribs and needed four stitches. And unfortunately that ended my vacation at my friends lakehouse ahead of schedule. 😏"Mongoose" wroteBTW, I noticed that you had Toe and Razorback as one of your "Trails You Want To Ride". I do not know if you know, but both of those MTB trails are CLOSED indefinately. I rode on them in late 2007 right before they CLOSED! All the good ones are dissappearing!
Yea I know, Im just hoping they open eventually.
Im a big fan of the Enduro and Nomad, however than sinister R9 does look pretty sick for downhill.
No Problem and same thanks to you for the info about Alafia and the trails at Santos. When I went to Santos I was actually going to go to Razorback instead, but I believe it was only open on weekends? and I was going during the week so I went to Santos and was not at all dissapointed. I will definitely ride those trails next time I head out to Santos. And theres no way I would do those insane drop offs but I do love all of the smaller drops and the jumps that I can actually do without risking my life.
And btw I was checking out your pics and I love your bikes. Very nice rides!
Well I have only ridden Santos out of those mentioned. Markham Park’s best trails are all advanced/expert and they are amazing trails, with alot of ups and downs and man made obstacles. I think I would rather ride Markham parks trails over Santos’ trails however I would rather go to Santos just because of the stunt area. However I only rode the beginner/intermediate trails at Santos when I went so I cant compare the Advanced trails at Markham to the advanced trails at Santos. Oleta is more cross country than Markham and Santos, and I like as much "black diamond" as I can get, which is why i don’t like it as much.
Sorry if that came out kind of confusing..
Personally I like markham park Better than Oleta, I think you may have the trails confused, because Markham park has more jumps and downhills and a much better flow than Oleta.?. Oleta has more roots and rocks that you have to navigate.
And I have signed that petition as well, and the bike I ride is a Specialized Hardrock sport.I am from miami and I normally ride markham park or oleta, but my dad lives in port st lucie so every time I go up to his house I used to ride the fort pierce trail. I was so bummed when they closed that trail because it beats all of the others in the area and it was only 20 minutes from my house.
I am more of a south florida Mtb’er, however I have ridden santos and all around fort pierce and stuart? Where are you?
