I was thinking a 36t. I usually keep it in 3rd except for climbs.
Yeah, we have the big cats and mostly black bears. Most of the time the bears will just run from you.
sorry, I meant 27. lol its mostly straight trail. and thanks.
"schwim" wroteMy brother just let me ride(and wreck) his new build with hope brakes. Some people reported weak braking with them but they did fantastic when I rode them. Unfortunately for me, nobody has developed brakes that work when you’re airborne at 30 MPH.
haha awesome!
hey and welcome … I wouldn’t get one of those bikes… in the world of bikes, it’s never more true, you get what you pay for. if you get something cheaply made, you’re not gonna enjoy riding. then it will kill your adventures before they even start. if I was you, check out the local bike shops and grab a nice starter bike . usually $300-$700 is the price range. I know it sounds like a lot, but like I said, you get what you pay for… good luck.
I’m kinda leaning towards Hayes Prime Pro…
I like my drive train. X-9 shifters XT 28-40 crank and X-9 front and rear derailleurs..
I thought that’s what I might hear. Thanks. I just hate to loose my Matchmakers.
Giant Trance X1 isn’t a bad option either.

se on the BB threads…Lock Tight..!!!!
Waka waka….
I bought them about a year ago. I think I paid $160… I think. First month workouts are about 30-40 minutes. And the second month workouts are about double that. Each workout varies in time.
My bike’s in the shop…. Ugh!
The Insanity workout builds your legs and cardio real good. Also builds flexibility and core strength. I was 237 lbs. and went down to 186 lbs. but I haven’t been doing workout lately and now up to 190 lbs.
I have encountered a very occasional rude person out on the trail but has been a pretty low number compared to the extremely friendly people. That’s the people I was talkin about. I know that most of the MTN biking peeps are awesome….
Wow… That’s pretty cool.
Well, I’m not a doctor, but I play one on tv…..lol. JK Man, I would talk to a dr. about something like that…
Hear hear. While there’s one or two rotten apples in any bushel, in my experience mountain bikers are, on average, much more laid back, caring, and welcoming to their fellow trail users than the average person in the world today. I do think there is a little bit of a difference depending on where you’re riding, though: the crowded suburban trails seem to have more jerks than the wilderness trails where you might only meet one person during your entire ride, but even on the crowded suburban singletrack I think that most mountain bikers are a good lot. I guess that’s what I should have said… I didn’t mean for this to get heated… Wow..! Atleast you guys know what I’m talking about.
