Man, now I REALLY wish I still lived in Cleveland!!
The trails around here have definitely made the learning curve a bit steeper for sure. Especially using clipless.
"schwim" wroteReplacing the Avid rotor with a Shimano solved it immediately in both cases.
Good to know about the rotors.
I had noticed that almost all of the reviews were from 2013 or earlier. I guess I’ll give them a shot and see.
On the right side of the settings page it shows where you can either connect it to your Facebook account or use Gravatar.
I was planning on doing Stoaked in NH this year, but moving and a general lack of fitness (read: extra weight) lead to a decision to postpone. I will definitely be doing it next year however.
Welcome to the boards!
260 lbs at just under 6′ 😳
Was finally making headway last year getting down to ~235 lb then winter came and I just kept gaining all winter. I got up to ~260 lb in just 3 months somehow. I’ve managed to stem the tide and thankfully haven’t gained anymore since, but haven’t lost any either. Bought an entry-level mtn bike about a month ago after getting hooked late last fall and the plan is to ride the trails around here as often as possible and commute to and from work unless the weather is absolutely biblical.
"slipfinger" wroteIMO not worth it. I would ride the Talon until you up grade next summer. In the end the specs on both bikes are very similar, don’t think you would be gaining much if anything from upgrading/changing bikes.
That’s what I wasn’t sure of. Being brandy new, I wasn’t sure how the specs matched up. Thanks guys for all the great info.
I’m upgrading to something better next summer either way. I was just wondering if it was worth it to move up to the Guardian for the fall and spring.
