I’ve got an old 1×9 26er DB response with a surly instigator fork that can fit just about anything, so I put some 700c’s on it while i had it on the stand just for kicks, and it looks like i still have about 1 or 1.5 inches clearance at the rear wheel b/w the chainstays… now i am actually thinking about maybe putting on some 700c/cross tires (which [i:1xu92g3a]will[/i:1xu92g3a] fit) for the pavement. Or, if possible, a tiny 1.8/.95 29er for the rear. I’m okay sticking with slicks, as this doesnt have to be a trail bike, but if it [i:1xu92g3a]can[/i:1xu92g3a] run anything knobby (which would be great), I don’t want a 69er. Am i going to find that even the smallest 29er tire is just waay too big? Is 650B worth it?
