thanks for catching that. so glad i asked.

i don’t have any crescent wrenches or many other tools. Needlenose check, basic screwdrivers check, but that’s about it.

is the extra twenty or so dollars worth being spent for the more expensive kit i listed?

in a nutshell as much as i can possibly do? some things i know will need to be left to the LBS but hopefully i can spend a small amount of money and maintain most of my bike myself.

i am new to this i can’t pinpoint everything i’d like to do. i do have the creaking i-drive syndrome. so, i will need to take apart the BB and pivot areas to re-grease. that’s first on my list.

i like being prepared and plan on reading up in the repair/maint. section.

muddtracks mentioned earlier about it not being used on a bike.
this vid shows antiseize being applied. however from what i’ve heard the antiseize is crappy and really should be replaced with a different compound. does the factory always know best anyway?

Guess I got hosed on the components. Mine doesn’t seem to have the 2.0 or so badge either. oh well. still a great bike.

    Thanks for the response.

    That’s the part I’m confused on….
I have a rock shox bar 2.1 rear and a rock shox dart 3 front.

The 2.0 has better components and why I’m so confused…???

I have the Hydrapak Flume. This pak just makes sense. http://www.hydrapak.com/

2 great features I particularly enjoy are:

    1) the bladder is like a "bag". the entire mouth opens. you turn it inside out and clean it yourself. no more buying cleaning kits/tabs!

and 2) the mouthpiece is a "pull" design. pull it to open, push back to close. the "bite and suck" featured on most camels doesn’t work for me. trying to bite and then suck when you’re winded is a pain.

hope this helps someone looking for a good pak!
