Sometimes I’ll stash them in the gas cap compartment
The Raleigh Tokul is a great hardtail for the price, with plus wheels and more slack geometry it would definitely be more fun to ride than an XC bike from trek or giant.

I can’t speak from experience, but I have to throw it out there….
Michigan Tech in Marquette, Michigan. The majority of the semesters seemingly take place during the winter months. Michigan Tech has fat bike trails for miles, not to mention some of the best trails that the Midwest has to offer in the summer months.

I’ve heard very good thing about the Trek Fuel EX, it seems to fit the bill exactly for what you are looking for.
I saw that. I think I’ve made up my mind.
I have a good relationship with my LBS, there is no reason to start over somewhere else. Especially if I have to drive quite a distance for any other brand.
I live in the metroDetroit area, but I take vacations a couple times a year to more epic places and I want a bike that keeps up. I think the Remedy will be just that, with pinkbike barely refraining from calling it a quiver-killer, which is what I’m looking for.
@jared13 Thanks for the insight. I have been reading and watching, unfortunately I don’t think they reviewed the Remedy this year. I don’t think it had any updates other than the color, which is fine because I’m loving the purple on the 2016 model. They did review the Fuel ex, and had good things to say about it, which is basically a shorter travel version of the remedy.
You don’t even want to know how many times I’ve watched that video lol
I have no doubt that it rips but I have no other experience with other brands or bikes. I’ve been satisfied with my experience with trek thus far but I want to be sure I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I know there is a lot of good bikes out there, some that people are very passionate about. Just want to hear other opinions.
They recently changed their website and its a bit clumsy in my opinion, hard to navigate. I believe you were looking at the 27.5 remedy 9, below you will find the specs for the 29er.
