Just follow up on what I have desided to do. I purchased this from REI. [url:307td568]http://www.showerspass.com/veleau-1[/url:307td568] It holds 42oz of drink and has space for tools and I hope a tube.

I will also carry bottle in the cage and an extra baggy or two of mix in the pocket and have some at the drops if needed.

    any thoughts?

    LOL

Disclaimer, I’m originally from Maine, not too far from there.

In the article they say THIS will make us a mountain bike destination!!! 1/2 mile of sanitized singletrack with all of the rocks and roots removed …

Clearly they have never ridden, well, anywhere else in the US.

Sounds like Michigan, 200 miles of sanitized single track built for wal-mart bikes.

Got mine, once rain stops I’ll throw them on the truck and get some pics.

    Thanks!!

Signed the bike related one, LOL’ed at Obama getting reelected. 😆

I have Shimano XTR Pd-M985 pedals and Specialized Pro shoes. The combo is great. Clipping in or out is simple and XTR’s are bomb proof. I like the shoes because they are stiff and transfer power very well. You feel very connected to the bike.

Not sure I agree with the down hillers yielding to the climbers. Gravity tends to win that battle.

The plastic bottles in the middle of the trails are pretty annoying, also the wrappers get me wound-up.

Hikers walking with the MTN bike traffic instead of against it like rules specify.

Specialised of some sort…Epic Comp maybe? It belongs to a friend. I didn’t like it at all.

I own one (2011 Carbon Comp). I love it. If you lower the stem a bit it quickens the handling.

I got a Comp 29er Carbon this year and love it. Just make sure you front shock is setup for your weight. Makes a huge difference in riding. Came of a Kona Blast. 😆
