Please don’t waste your time and money on a parktool stand (great tools, bad stands). Get a wrench force classic stand(trek). Simple and easy to use. http://store.trekbikes.com/jump.jsp?ite … pe=PRODUCT
February 2, 2012 at 19:58 in reply to: What is your definition of "flow" when designing new trails? #105792Flow, to me, is when you find your groove on a trail and are able to tear it up to your highest potential. For me that is when the trail points at a slight decent with heels and jumps that have the perfect spacing between takeoff and landings. Some XC guys find their groove when climbing. (Nut-jobs) 😮
Well, there are quite a few arguements for both sides of this battle. One is that you don’t need full suspension, learn how to manage trails with your legs. Another is, less mantainence. Also, you get 100% transfer of energy from pedals to rear wheel. Lighter weight. Have no pedal bob. And lastly, cost a lot less.
Now for the full suspension argument. They are comfortable, forgiving, and allow you to "float" over terrain and much more versatile.
I could go on for both but I think you could get away with a 100mm travel full suspension or a hardtail.
Redesign was in 2010 if my memory serves me well.
Dude, it is a linear equation… Not too hard to find your pressure.
Psssshhhhh 29’ers….
He should get a nice wheelset with convertible hubs so he can have nice tubeless wheels and tires on every bike….
"mtbgreg1" wroteI tend to run about 5 psi higher than that chart and I still get the occasional pinch flat.
1 word, tubeless… 😄
Lol at you guys! If you’re happy with the way it shifts now, I would go with clipless pedals and shoes. If you already have those, I might suggest carbon handle bars or new tires. Check out maxxis, kenda, and continental.
Lol! But Giant is getting the last laugh as they make most of the frames out there… 😆
Dgaddis, here is then same but the main shop around sells trek. Also, the owner just donated a bunch of moneys to the local SORBA.
I’ll go on Saturday if someone wants to meet up. Don’t want to be a loner…
Helicopter flight is almost impossible in those conditions. Too windy and the blades might get ice on them which cause them to not generate enough lift… Which would suck.
This sounds like a job for….. your local bike shop!!!!! 😉

Anyone else notice that the tires on the red ice cream trike are flat?
yea but it has ice cream![/quote:29o73grw]
I didn’t say it was a bad thing. 😄Bet that wheel would be 20′ tall! Imagine log crossings. 😆

But that bit of dirt on the valve of the bottles gives your body minerals…
Wow… the shoulder blade thing sucks but to everyone else, dang you guys are picky! 😆
I ride with my small camelbak for short rides and the large one for longer rides. But it doesn’t matter if I get them confused because I don’t sweat a lot.January 2, 2012 at 23:15 in reply to: Trails that aren’t open to bike – but would be rad to ride #104498The approach trail at Amicalola falls would be awesome. Also riding down kennesaw mountain would be sweet.
Hardtail or full suspension? How much do you weigh? Are you a hard rider or a flowy rider? (be truthful with that last one)

I didn’t ask what’s your favorite bike guys… I just asked who made the best and what y’all ride.. 😉
